Find out what’s inside our Summery fash special starring Leigh Lezark!

May Issue Of Company - Out Soon!

Our May Issue is a celebration of finally being able to wear the SS13 trends - okay so we might still need to layer them up a tad but there’s no denying Summer’s almost here so it’s time to shop…

Our cover star is DJ/Model Leigh Lezark - we chat to her about who inspires her, being a Chanel ambassador and how she got the nickname ‘Princess Coldstare’!   We love a new Jameela column - in fact we spend half our spare time lol-ing over her online column archive! This month, Jameela announces that she’s in love - trouble is it’s with her best friend who already has a girlfriend - nightmare!   BEHIND THE SCENES ON OUR LEIGH LEZARK COVER SHOOT   We embrace the rice of the good girl role model - bye bye rebels! And what is it with people that call you hun on the first meeting?! Tracy Ramsden gets to the bottom of the issues with terms of endearment…   We chat to the Norwegian schoolgirl with more Instagram followers than Alexa Chung and Lady Gaga, and also spare a thought for the #UglyFood that never gets a moment in the spotlight when it comes to pretty Foodstagram snaps…

We show you how to dress for any wedding this summer with our hipster wedding guide, and meet Carly Rae Jepsen and Bastille in our Music section!

It’s time for some fashion education with our guide to the fashion muses through the ages that are still influencing the catwalks today!   HAVE A SWOON OVER LEIGH LEZARK’S AMAZING WARDROBE   Fashion goes oriental in our Spice Girl fashion shoot, shot in a food shop, and we show you the coolest way to wear summer tailored pieces.   It’s a hair special in our beauty section - we show you the coolest new updo’s to rock, and show you how to recreate history’s nicest hairdo’s! Oh, AND we hung out with Alexa Chung - Amazing.   We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed putting it all together - and don’t forget to tell us what you think of it!

Available on Apple Newsstand soon!

Stella McCartneys New It Bag: Anne Hathaway, Sienna Miller And Kate Hudson Love The Bailey Boo!Stella McCartneys New It Bag: Anne Hathaway, Sienna Miller And Kate Hudson Love The Bailey Boo!

Sienna Miller and Anne Hathaway are big on the baby Bailey Boo bag from Stella McCartney!

Fresh from picking up her impressive OBE, designer Stella McCartney can add another fashion string to her bow – that of a new It bag! Following in the big footsteps of her chain-trimmed Falabella tote – which has become so popular since it’s inception in 2009 that you can now also pick it up in clutch in an array of colours and faux skins – is the mini Bailey Boo (£670). A cutely named bag x-body in a cute size, the Bailey Boo is a faux python number (remember McCartney doesn’t do real leather, peeps) complete with a chain-link trim, which you can also snap up in a bigger tote form (£800).

We first paid full attention to the Bailey Boo (of which BagSnob.com have named it as their ‘best in faux’) when Stella’s fave girl, model Natalia Vodianova, so longingly clutched it front and centre in the Spring Summer 2013 campaign. A-listers have already caught onto the charms of this new little fella; Sienna Miller carried Bailey Boo for her stage-door exit on the debut night of her latest starring role on Broadway ‘Orphans’, Anne Hathaway did a subtle print clash with her neutral faux-python BB with a summery disty print maxi and Kate Hudson channelled an army-girl vibe with cargo jeans, a tough coat and buckle boots.

As we mentioned above, Stella is no stranger to a fashion phenomenon or four. In addition to the Falabella club (which includes Charlize Theron, Rihanna and Zoe Saldana to name but a few), we will never forget the season of the polka-dot dress of Autumn Winter 2011! The LBD with the sheer mesh spotted-panelling became a figure-fixing sensation, hugging the high profile curves of everyone from Kate Winslet to Live Tyler and Doutzen Kroes. Even Kris Kardashian got in on the act, and replicas spread like a fashion pandemic across the style landscape.

Young Designer Georgia Hardinge Follows In Rihannas Footsteps At River Island: EXCLUSIVE

Georgia’s sketches for her River Island Design Forum collection

Grazia have long championed promising London designer, Georgia Hardinge and now, we’re giving ourselves a congratulatory pat on the back as she’s the centre of attention at River Island as the third designer to participate River Island’s Design Forum initiative: Georgia has created a 14 piece capsule collection for Spring/Summer 2013.?

Georgia’s signature designs take inspirations from architectural style, combining forms taken from sculpture with the contours of the female silhouette, virtually works of art in themselves. You can see our edit of the brilliant (and very keenly priced) collection by scrolling through the gallery below. In business for only three years, Georgia has already dressed the likes of Beyonce, Florence Welch, Lady Gaga, Jessie J and Nicole Sherzinger, and pulled off memorable collections at London Fashion Week’s Vauxhall Fashion Scout.

Accessories from the new range by Georgia Hardinge for River Island Design Forum

We caught up with lovely Georgia at River Island HQ and had a very interesting little chat with her.

Grazia Daily: How did you feel when you got the call from River Island? Was a High Street collaboration always on your …

Georgia Hardinge: My business plan?

Grazia Daily: Yes. Your fashion career to-do list

Georgia Hardinge: Yes of course! I just never thought it would happen so quickly. It’s amazing to me that I’ve got a range in River Island. It’s been so well done too, I’m really happy with the collection and with the lovely fabrics they’ve brought to it. And accessories! Brilliant shoes and bags – both of which are the first time for me. So is the film, which was really important to me to make. So its good news all round.

Georgia and River Island’s short film created and directed by film maker, Alex Turvey starring Ben Grimes

Grazia Daily: How did the collaboration come about?

Georgia Hardinge: River Island have done this Design Forum range before and then, when they were deciding who to approach this season, they spoke to the BFC, who recommended me. Then when I got the call I was thrilled and hugely excited.

Grazia Daily: It’s very close to your mainline, in terms of silhouette and print isn’t it?

Georgia Hardinge: Yes, it’s worked so well. And also, I think very good for a young, River Island customer as well. Someone who wants something to wear for a night out, but is also clued up about fashion and perhaps not able to buy high end stuff yet. So a younger customer but still definitely someone who has that desire to experiment with fashion.

Grazia Daily: Well quite. Tell us what else you’ve been up to recently

Georgia Hardinge: I never really stop running around! My AW13 collection for London Fashion Week, designing Girl’s Aloud tour wardrobe, which I adored doing. In one way it’s completely different from my own label but its really fun, you get that glamour of the pop world and it’s a good showcase for me, whose name people might not necessarily know. I’ve also working with other musicians, I’ve got a new muse coming up who’s name I’m not supposed to tell people and also [retro disco diva and opera singer] Sarah Brightman!

Grazia Daily: She’s a disco legend! Our readers will have to Google her song, I Lost My Heart To A Starship Trouper. What do you do outside of work?

Georgia Hardinge: Not much really! I’m always working. I know – I’ve recently been to Belgium, on a tour of places in WW1, because I’m really interested in history. And for research for inspiration for my collections I like to look at fine art and architecture. At the moment I’m so into Swiss surrealist painter and sculptor, H.R. Giger who worked on the film Alien, and the quite disturbing but brilliant work of artist Joel Peter Witkin.

Grazia Daily: Wow. Anything else you like doing?

Georgia Hardinge: I love books and the would love to have some time to read one. Which I don’t. I do tend to make time for Grazia though – it’s my favourite magazine!

Grazia Daily: That’s very sweet of you to say Georgia!

Georgia’s 14 piece collection for River Island is in selected River Island now with prices ranging from £30 for leggings to £70 for some of the dresses

Diane Kruger enjoys being in “control” of her style.

The German actress often appears on best-dressed lists for her red carpet outfits and feels she has found her winning style formula. Diane is deeply passionate about fashion and likes being creative with her clothes.

“[Fashion] is second nature to me,” she told British magazine Look. “It’s something I’ve loved ever since I was a little girl – it’s part of who I am. Some people might think fashion is superficial, but I look at it as something artistic and personal. It’s the first thing you see when you meet someone and it’s also the first thing you can control. It’s all about how you would like to be perceived.”

The 36-year-old former model is renowned for her close friendship with Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. Diane has known Karl since she was a teenager and is regularly seen wearing his creations at glitzy events.

The star is deeply grateful for all the support and advice the iconic fashion star has given her throughout her career.

“I’ve known Karl since I was 16. I modelled for Chanel quite a bit when I was younger. When I started to act, Chanel lent me clothes for premieres and Karl designed a haute-couture gown for me for the premiere of Troy in Cannes [2004]. I still have the sketch he made for that outfit,” she smiled. “I look at him as a mentor and often ask for his advice. I respect his insight and intelligence - he’s a man of immense vision. I’m grateful for all the beautiful outfits he’s given me over the years.”
